Description of the job
We are seeking a professional and friendly Temporary Payroll Officer to join a well-established global business. This role is varied and will include end-to-end Payroll in addition to supporting the HR Manager with general HR administration. If you have proven hands-on payroll experience, are confident working with a variety of payroll systems, and are available immediately, this role could be ideal for you.
The Role:
The position is for approximately 3 months. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing for 160 employees on a fortnightly cycle and support HR functions across the business.
- Processing payroll across 4 awards (VIC, QLD, TAS, NSW) using Workforce Ready (UKG) and Payroll Metrics.
- Managing all month-end tasks, including reconciliations, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and STP finalisation.
- Maintaining the back-end UKG setup
- Supporting HR with award interpretation, employment contracts, onboarding/offboarding, and general HR administration.
- Coordinating probation and performance reviews, assisting with staff well-being programs
- Assisting with salary reviews, contract amendments, and general HR queries.
- (Bonus) Contributing to AP tasks when needed.
- Previous experience in a similar Payroll/HR Support role
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline-focused
- A proactive, flexible, and approachable attitude
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Hourly rate: $50 - $55 + super.
